Sometime ago, Yao Sheng asked me about my plans after NS. (Actually this is a very popular questions in army.) Seriously, after I was rejected by SMU I really don't know. Not that I have no plans, but too many choices.
I recieved an email from Australia International Hotel School today. They will be coming for IDP's diploma-degree open house next week. As of the last time I was very interested. After all, I can complete my degree in less than 1.5 years. But Felicia once said, we don't really need a degree in this line. But studying overseas has always been my choice. Though it's Canberra in Australia but I'm sure I can at least drop by Hillsong Church a few days and participate in parade. I can work in a budget hotel before my studies, maybe Hangout Hotel. Think I will apply and see if they will grant me a scholarship. After which I can still try for Emirates Airlines as air steward.
Alternatively I can apply for air steward with either Emirates or Singapore Airlines, both interviews in March, then study after that. Maybe I don't even need to study tourism or hospitality related. Cos maybe in the end I wanted to do something else, like what Matthew said.
Or I could go with a degree in Social Science in SMU, maybe a double degree with Human Resource? At the same time take up a couse in tour guiding to earn extra cash.
Or maybe I can take up nursing, since there is a shortage of nurses worldwide, plus I can join programmes like 'Doctors without Borders'. Only problem for this choice and social service is that I will not have high pay.
Sometimes in life, you need to make a choice between your compassion and money..
